NOTE FROM

director
Despite Afghanistan slipping further from international media headlines, it continues to inspire enormous hope within our team to witness such extraordinary generosity from our giving community.
At the same time, global aid cuts in 2025 have severely reduced the ability of many organisations to respond to humanitarian needs. NGOs have had to scale back support due to insufficient funding, and as a result, for example, hundreds of health clinics have been forced to close.

Fortunately, thanks to our diverse donor base and your continued generosity, we have been able to sustain our work across all of our core programmes. This includes building essential services, strengthening livelihoods, supporting women and children, helping communities to mitigate the risks of climate change and natural disasters, and responding swiftly to humanitarian emergencies.

Thanks to your support, in 2025 our teams reached more than 1.4 million people with vital assistance.

In this newsletter, we are proud to share some of the transformative programmes delivered throughout 2025, alongside stories of the remarkable supporters who made this work possible. Thank you for continuing to stand with us and supporting the families of Afghanistan to build brighter futures, even in the face of immense challenges. I wish you the very best for 2026.
